About Us

Find Out How To Help

Together everyone achieves more! Tybee Island resident Jenny Rutherford spearheaded the creation of this database where we can match volunteers to those needing assistance. After having her home flood twice in less than a year, Jenny understands the challenges with disaster clean up. She reached out to Social Media to spread the word of others all over the Island needing assistance. So many friends in the community are reaching out to offer their help on Tybee and the need to organize it into one space was great. Thus this website was born to help connect our neighbors with those who want to help in any way!

Whether you'd like to donate your time, services or money to help your neighbors get back on their feet as we are recovering from Hurricane Irma, it is all appreciated! Let us know how YOU can help and we will do the coordination connecting you where your offer will be most impactful based off the requests of residents!

Let Us Know Your Needs

We are actively in communication with  individuals, organizations and teams to match the needs of primary residents on Tybee Island, GA who are recovering from Hurricane Irma. The households we are helping include individuals, couples, families with young children, families with kids in school, retirees and the elderly. The hurricane affected all locals and we are here to include and help everyone, regardless of household income.

Now that the storm has passed, survivors should expect and prepare for significant, ongoing impacts, and disruptions to daily activities as we are on the road to recovery. Although response efforts are not always immediate due to weather impacts, first responders, federal teams, and voluntary agencies will work tirelessly to help those in need now that it is safe to do so. Teams have staffed emergency shelters, continued to provide meals, and are offering comfort. The top priority of the this page is to help resident's register what their needs are and match them to volunteers!
